Kaya uses as little as possible. Analytics cookies only run if you say yes, and everything else stays on your own device.
Your choice
When you first visit, Kaya asks whether you are happy for us to use analytics cookies. Rejecting them is as easy as accepting them, and the site works the same either way.
Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
These are set by Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. They do not identify you by name.

If you reject analytics after accepting, Kaya stops Google Analytics and removes these cookies from your browser.
Storage that stays on your device
Kaya also saves a few small items in your browser's local storage. They are not cookies, they are not sent to us or anyone else, and they are only there to make the features you use work.

These stay until you clear them. Clearing your browser's site data for kaya-assessments.org removes them all.
Other services
The main page loads lettering from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to send the font files but does not set cookies. Links to other websites, such as NICE or the NHS, take you to sites with their own cookie policies.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies in their settings. Blocking cookies will not stop Kaya working.
